Oliver Beste has over 10 years of experience as an entrepreneur and business angel in the internet industry.Oliver co-founded FoundersLink in 2007 to make a business out of his passion to encourage entrepreneurship. In 1999 he co-founded myToys.de, the leading internet retailer for children’s products in Germany with over € 200m in sales and continuous growth rates above 30%. Before myToys, Oliver gathered industry experience over 4 years as a consultant with McKinsey.
Oliver invests mostly into internet companies with a few exceptions such as Radio P.O.S., the German market leader for in-store radio programming and advertising or Phorms, a network of bilingual schools in Germany founded by his wife. Oliver is a member of the Investment Committee of the Otto Group’s venture capital firm eVenture Capital Partners.
Oliver encourages, coaches and helps to fund entrepreneurship. He helped to launch the European seed-fund and startup-competition Seedcamp.com as Management Board Member and early investor, he launched "Catapult", a Mentoring program for Startups in Berlin and Brandenburg, and the "Investors' Dinner", a matching event for VCs and Startups. Oliver is a member leader of the worldwide nonprofit Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) and the Board Member responsible for Startups of the creative industry organization Media.net Berlin Brandenburg. Oliver also organizes the OpenCoffeeClub.org, a monthly meeting for young entrepreneurs in Berlin. Oliver is very impressed by social entrepreneurs such as Prof. Yunus.

Fabian Hansmann has been an entrepreneur since he was 14 years old. He is an expert in the software and internet space.Before co-founding FoundersLink GmbH, he was founder and Managing Director of Steganos – a leading vendor of security software for both consumers and businesses, with more than 3 million installations in more than 140 countries.
Fabian is a regular speaker at IT industry events such as CeBIT and SYSTEMS. His work has been published in numerous journals on IT and Management issues, and he has consulted for leading magazines and Venture Capital firms in the software sector. Fabian works regularly pro bono as a judge for leading business plan competitions in Europe.
He is a member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization and the INSEAD Alumni Association Germany. Currently, Fabian is a non-executive director (Beirat/Aufsichtsrat) of several companies in the new economy.
Associate, Berlin Office
Mareike studied Corporate Governance and Management at the Paris Lodron University in Salzburg (Austria) and worked meanwhile as a project manager at the start-up PAE Design Talent, a Beijing based recruiting company specialized in China´s design industry.
She graduated with a LLM.oec after writing her Master thesis about „The violation of existing IPR law in and through China and the impact on founding companies“.
Gaining her first HR insights at PAE DT and recruiting and coaching staff and candidates in a Chinese Au-Pair company in Beijing, she deepened her recruiting experiences as the Assistant of the CEO at i-potentials, a Berlin based recruiting agency focussed on internet start-ups.
With an international background, professional project experiences in several start-ups in China and always acquainting herself quickly and thoroughly with new subject areas, Mareike is an allrounder in Business Law, project and process management, organisation as well as administration, research and marketing.
Pascal studied economics and psychology at the University of Cologne. During his time there, he founded and ran the German division of PowerMedia Inc. – one of the first companies commercializing software for PDAs such as the Apple Newton and Palm OS devices.
After finishing his studies, he moved to Berlin to work as Head of Product Marketing & E-Commerce for Germany’s largest Apple retailer, GRAVIS AG. During this period he also founded a consulting company that focused on applications for mobile devices.
In 1999, Pascal founded the venture capital-financed “oil on mars” GmbH, a company that built web applications for content-rich communication used by large portals such as Infoseek and Tiscali. After selling the company to a group of investors, Pascal joined eBay Germany to work in various senior management positions from 2002 to 2005. Before he left eBay in mid-2005, Pascal led the Platform Solutions Group as Senior Manager/Head of Platform Solutions Group.
Pascal was also Vice President Germany for ChannelAdvisor GmbH, being responsible for more than 40 employees and €500m in yearly Gross Merchandise Volume. Recently, Pascal consulted leading internet businesses on internationalization strategies with his consulting company, elektronauten.
Dr. Christian Kapteyn
Christian is an expert in nanotechnology and semiconductor science and technology, with a collective experience of more than 12 years in industrial and academic research and development. He has also worked as an independent industry consultant. His clients have included successful technology start-ups as well as large high-tech companies.
As a project leader for Infineon (now Qimonda) in Dresden, Christian drove DRAM technology innovation topics for future chip generations. His work during this time led to numerous invention disclosures, of which nine have been filed as patents and several are being applied in production.
Researching quantum mechanical effects and electronic properties of semiconductor nanostructures, and their application potential, over many years in academic research, Christian has been affiliated with Technical University Berlin in Germany, Rijksuniversiteit Groningen in the Netherlands, and the Matsushita Central Research Laboratories in Japan. He has published his results in more than 30 scientific papers and presented his work at numerous international scientific conferences.
Matt’s career benchmarks include the successful launch of three different companies, including two exits to date, and record-breaking deals closed with industry giants such as General Motors, Computer Associates, Constellation Energy, Autobytel, Info.com, and Edmunds.com.
After graduating with a BA from Wheaton College, Matt joined renowned serial entrepreneur and IBM sales guru Richard Beedon as the second employee of The MacBeedon Group, an Ann Arbor, Michigan-based sales consulting and outsourcing firm. Six months later, under Beedon’s tutelage, Matt took over general management of the company and built MacBeedon’s business development strategy from the ground up. The result was a client base that included General Motors, Computer Associates, Car.com, Quicken Loans, Autobytel, and ExpensAble.
After successfully negotiating the sale of The MacBeedon Group’s lead-generation business unit to Dialogue Marketing, Matt joined the 500-person interactive marketing agency as the youngest executive in company history. While at Dialogue, Matt managed business-to-business marketing services and penetrated new industries, including information technology, market research, automotive, and energy.
Following his term at Dialogue Marketing, Matt launched Michigan-based interactive agency Equation Ventures. Equation develops proprietary high-traffic websites that generate high-margin customer leads for clients in financial services, automotive, and consumer goods industries, and has incubated such projects as FreshTrend.com and SmarterPlastic.com.
In 2005, while concurrently managing the growth of Equation Ventures, Matt joined internet sales and marketing pioneer Ben Padnos by investing in Better PPC, the fast-growing, private-equity-backed Search Engine Marketing (SEM) firm based in El Segundo, California. Better PPC created the world’s only automated solution for utilizing complex algorithms to test search engine advertising. Matt took over sales and marketing management for Better PPC and helped build the small start-up into an international industry brand name. The result was a 2008 acquisition by leading online media publisher Moxy Media. Matt was an advisor to the board of Michigan-based Information Systems Group prior to the company’s sale in 2006.
Frank studied Business and engineering management at the University of Technology in Karlsruhe. During that time he supported a pharmaceutical company in Germany and USA in Finance & Controlling as well as in some Strategic Marketing issues.
After he graduated from Karlsruhe he started his professional career in the management consulting area were he supported large-scale companies in the High-Tech, Telco and Consumer electronics industry worldwide. Between 2003 and 2005 he attends the Master program at WHU (Wissenschaftliche Hochschule für Unternehmensführung) together with Kellogg Business School, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Recannati Business School in Tel Aviv.
In 2005 he identified a promising business concept out of his consulting work and consequently founded Teqport in Munich. The company has specialized in integrated solutions for major large-scale companies, predominantly from the ITC industry, and has constructed effective networks for this. This also applies to the recycling, disposal and preparation of your products as well as for the international market of buyers and users. During that time he established offices in Shenzhen/China and Delhi/India and raised money from well-known VCs. By the end of 2010, the company handled goods worth approx. €80m p.a.
In the beginning of 2011 Frank left the company and started to invest in some promising internet startup companies and supports those companies in several issues, such as business development, sales, organizational questions and fund raising activities. Furthermore he consults an international management consulting company with respect to business development activities.
